During the study, participants underwent a 14-day gluten challenge requiring the daily consumption of two slices of bread. Patients treated with ANB033 showed significant protection compared to the placebo group, which experienced the expected increase in symptoms. Chief Executive Daniel Faga emphasized that the drug maintained a favorable safety profile throughout the trial.

First Tracks plans to transition the therapeutic candidate into late-stage development by 2027. The company intends to coordinate with regulators and the clinical community to refine the path forward for the treatment, which aims to mitigate the risks of trace gluten exposure for those living with the condition.
