M-Mart Net Profit Climbs to 252 Million Yen

M-Mart Inc. reported a significant surge in profitability for the first half of the fiscal year ending July 31, with net profit reaching 252 million yen. This result marks a sharp increase from the 195 million yen recorded during the same period in the previous year, driven by expanding revenue streams.

The company’s revenue climbed to 752 million yen, up from 673 million yen a year earlier. Operating profit followed a similar upward trajectory, rising to 370 million yen compared to 304 million yen in the prior period. Pretax profit mirrored this gain, also hitting 373 million yen against the previous 304 million yen.

Earnings per share rose to 25.78 yen from 20.01 yen. Despite the stronger financial performance, the company projects a year-end dividend of 13.00 yen, a decrease from the 25.00 yen payout issued in the preceding year. These figures reflect results compiled under Japanese accounting standards.
