Bombardier Q3 Outlook Points to Revenue Gains and Backlog Growth

Investors are closely monitoring the company's order book, which stood at $21.8 billion at the end of the previous quarter. National Bank of Canada analyst Cameron Doerksen suggests that robust demand for new jets will likely yield another positive book-to-bill ratio. Beyond aircraft sales, the focus remains on the expansion of aftermarket services and the defense segment.

Aftermarket services continue to provide a buffer against cyclical volatility, with Doerksen highlighting the segment's potential to drive margin expansion. Simultaneously, the defense unit—bolstered by the Saab GlobalEye program—is positioned to exceed the company's $1.5 billion annual revenue target for that division. Despite these positive indicators, Bombardier shares faced a 3.6% decline during the quarter, recently trading at 337.20 Canadian dollars.
