MDA Space Lands C$100M Deal for EU Satellite Constellation

The authorization to proceed agreement tasks MDA Space with delivering its proprietary MDA Aurora digital phased array antennas and controllers. These components are designated for 66 low-Earth-orbit satellites, a foundational layer of the European Union’s secure connectivity infrastructure. The work will be executed through a partnership with Thales Alenia Space, the joint venture between France’s Thales Group and Italy’s Leonardo.

All hardware production will take place at the company's Montreal facility. MDA Space plans to integrate this contract into its backlog during the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, signaling a long-term commitment to the IRIS program's development timeline.
