Colliers Engineering Arm Acquires Calgary-Based Obsidian

While financial terms of the acquisition remain undisclosed, the integration marks a strategic pivot for Colliers. By absorbing Obsidian, the firm secures a deeper foothold in the region’s competitive energy infrastructure sector, moving beyond its traditional scope to provide specialized construction management for private-sector clients.

Leadership continuity remains a central component of the agreement. Obsidian’s senior management team will transition into significant shareholder roles within Englobe, retaining oversight to ensure their established presence in Western Canada survives the corporate shift.
