Bunge Profit Surges on Robust North American Soybean Demand

Bunge Global’s third-quarter net income nearly doubled to $318 million as strong North American soybean demand provided a vital buffer against global agricultural volatility. The St. Louis-based processor beat Wall Street expectations for both profit and revenue, maintaining its long-term earnings guidance despite mounting pressures on the global supply chain.

The company reported adjusted earnings of $2.56 per share, comfortably surpassing the $2.41 consensus estimate from FactSet analysts. Revenue climbed 7.4% to $23.8 billion, driven by an 18% surge in softseed processing sales and steady gains in grain merchandising. While crop volumes faced headwinds, these were countered by pricing strength in the soybean refining unit, which generated $11.44 billion in sales.

Management reiterated its 2026 adjusted earnings target of $9.25 to $9.75 per share, signaling confidence in its operational resilience. This outlook persists even as external logistics challenges complicate the broader agricultural landscape. Specifically, the closure of the Strait of Hormuz has constrained global fertilizer supplies and inflated diesel costs, creating a high-stakes environment for farmers worldwide.
