Hawkins Shares Jump on Strong Quarterly Performance

Investors pushed Hawkins stock up 11% to $150 in after-hours trading Monday after the water treatment specialist surpassed Wall Street expectations for its second quarter. The company’s ability to drive organic growth while integrating recent acquisitions fueled a significant earnings beat, providing a sharp rebound for a stock previously down year-to-date.

Hawkins Shares Jump on Strong Quarterly Performance

Hawkins reported a profit of $27.8 million, or $1.34 a share, climbing from $22.6 million, or $1.08 a share, during the same period last year. This result comfortably exceeded the $1.19 per share forecast by analysts polled by FactSet. Revenue followed a similar upward trajectory, reaching $313.8 million—a 12% increase over the $280.4 million recorded a year ago and well ahead of the projected $302.7 million.

Management attributed the consistent sales momentum to an 11% rise in organic growth, bolstered by $3.7 million in contributions from acquired businesses. Despite this quarterly surge, the company’s year-to-date performance remains tempered, with shares previously showing a 4.7% decline before the latest earnings report sparked renewed market interest.
