Reed's Denies Internal Catalysts Behind Volatile Stock Swings

A 26% surge followed by a 27% collapse in two days has left investors questioning the stability of Reed’s, the beverage company behind Virgil’s and Reed’s brands. Despite the erratic market behavior, the company confirmed Wednesday that no undisclosed business developments or internal shifts justify such extreme price fluctuations.

The company, which specializes in ginger ale and craft sodas, issued a statement clarifying that it has conducted internal inquiries into the recent trading frenzy. Management remains unable to identify any specific event or corporate action that would necessitate a public correction or regulatory intervention at this time.

Market data underscores the intensity of the volatility. Trading volume reached 44 million shares on Wednesday, a stark departure from the typical 30-day average of roughly 671,218. After Tuesday’s gains, the stock plummeted to 34 cents, struggling within a wide intraday range that spanned from 33 cents to $1.07.
