Bernie Sanders: Anti-Trump Sentiment Won't Sustain Democrats

In an interview with MS NOW’s Michele Norris, the Vermont senator argued that winning control of the House and Senate is essential to provide a necessary check on Donald Trump, whom he characterized as the most dangerous president in American history. The discussion, scheduled for Saturday at 8:00 pm ET, will examine the 85-year-old senator's enduring influence on the progressive wing of the party. Norris noted that Sanders remains a central figure in the 2026 election cycle, having cultivated a roster of left-leaning candidates—including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani—who are now facing their most significant electoral tests to date.
