j-Group Holdings Profits Slide Amid Revenue Contraction

A 62.4 percent drop in net profit marks a challenging half-year for j-Group Holdings, as the Tokyo-listed firm reported earnings of 62 million yen for the period ending August 31, down significantly from the 165 million yen recorded during the same six-month window one year prior.

j-Group Holdings Profits Slide Amid Revenue Contraction

The company’s financial results, prepared under Japanese accounting standards, reflect a broader downturn across its core operations. Total revenue slipped to 6.22 billion yen, compared with 7.07 billion yen in the previous year. This contraction in top-line growth triggered a sharp decline in profitability, with operating profit falling to 121 million yen from 273 million yen.

Pretax profit followed a similar downward trajectory, settling at 90 million yen against the 227 million yen reported in 2025. Consequently, earnings per share for the period dropped to 3.65 yen, a stark decrease from the 11.28 yen seen in the prior year.
