Marimaca Copper Elevates Peter Garner-Winship to Finance Chief

Garner-Winship brings extensive industry experience to the position, including a 17-year tenure at Anglo American. During his time there, he managed capital allocation and corporate finance, notably serving as financial controller for the $5.5 billion Quellaveco copper project in Peru. His appointment comes as the Canadian miner continues to build out its leadership structure.

Jose Antonio, who has been with the management team since 2022, took on the CFO duties on an interim basis in 2023 following the departure of Petra Decher. These leadership shifts follow other recent changes at the company, including the appointment of Giancarlo Bruno Lagomarsino as independent non-executive chair and the addition of Zenon Wozniak, a former First Quantum Minerals executive, to the board of directors.
