Kawaguchi Chemical Profit Surges on Revenue Growth

Kawaguchi Chemical Industry Co. reported a sharp rise in net profit to 346 million yen for the nine months ending August 31, more than doubling the 146 million yen recorded during the same period last year as the company successfully navigated fluctuating market conditions in the Japanese chemical sector.

Kawaguchi Chemical Profit Surges on Revenue Growth

The Tokyo-listed manufacturer saw its revenue climb to 6.68 billion yen, up from 6.36 billion yen in 2025. This top-line expansion translated into significantly higher margins, with operating profit reaching 495 million yen compared to 220 million yen in the prior year. Pretax profit followed a similar trajectory, rising to 469 million yen from 199 million yen.

Earnings per share mirrored the improved bottom line, jumping to 284.98 yen from 120.31 yen. These figures, prepared in accordance with Japanese accounting standards, reflect a period of strengthened operational efficiency for the chemical producer.
