The revised dividend translates to an annual distribution of $3.92 per share. Based on the closing stock price of $497.12 on Tuesday, this payout provides an annual yield of 0.79%. Following the announcement, Microsoft shares traded slightly higher at $498.30 in after-hours activity.

Investors on record as of November 19 are eligible to receive the payment, which is scheduled for distribution on December 10. The company has maintained a consistent pattern of dividend growth, having raised the quarterly amount from 83 cents to 91 cents during the same period last year.
