Hub Group Reinstates David Yeager as CEO Amid Leadership Shakeup

David Yeager is returning to the helm of Hub Group, reassuming his former role as chief executive officer. The transportation firm announced the leadership shift alongside a restructuring of its financial department, as the company works to resolve ongoing restatements and stabilize its executive suite following a turbulent spring.

Phillip Yeager remains in his current position as president and vice chairman, maintaining his operational oversight within the company. Meanwhile, Patrick O’Donnell has been named chief financial officer-elect. He is slated to officially take the reins once the firm concludes its current financial-restatement process and issues its fiscal 2025 statements. Todd Heeter continues to serve as interim CFO during this transitional period to ensure the completion of the restatements.

This management pivot follows the abrupt departures of former CFO Kevin Beth and former COO Brian Meents in May. Those exits occurred after an internal audit committee review prompted the board to implement corrective measures aimed at strengthening financial reporting protocols. The company is currently focused on regaining its footing following the committee’s findings.
