Rubis Shares Surge Following Profit Forecast Upgrade

Rubis shares climbed to a three-month high on Tuesday as the French energy firm reported a robust first-half performance. With earnings growth outpacing previous expectations, the company lifted its full-year guidance, signaling resilience despite the volatility currently gripping global oil markets.

Rubis Shares Surge Following Profit Forecast Upgrade

The company’s stock reached 35.40 euros in late morning trading, marking a 4.55% gain and a 10% increase year-to-date. This rally follows the release of financial results for the period ending June 30, which saw Ebitda reach 434 million euros, significantly higher than the 369 million euros recorded during the same period last year.

Bolstered by these results, the board raised its full-year Ebitda forecast to a range between 775 million euros and 825 million euros, up from the previous estimate of 740 million euros to 790 million euros. Managing Partners Clarisse Gobin-Swiecznik, Jean-Christian Bergeron, and Marc Jacquot attributed the success to disciplined execution and active commercial management throughout a high-price environment. Analysts at Bernstein noted the upgrade as a positive surprise, suggesting that activity levels through the second half of the year will likely remain more stable than initially projected.
