Currenc Group Stock Climbs on Mint Tokenization Deal

Currenc Capital, the company's subsidiary, will provide end-to-end advisory and technical support for the project. The initiative involves creating digital tokens representing Class A ordinary shares of Mint, a firm specializing in artificial intelligence and robotics. By shifting these assets to the blockchain, the companies seek to modernize share accessibility while preserving the underlying security rights of the original equity.

This partnership follows Currenc’s own move in April, when it became one of the first Nasdaq-listed entities to tokenize its own ordinary shares. Alex Kong, founder and chief executive of Currenc, stated that the process updates how shares are managed and accessed without altering the fundamental rights of investors.
