Fumakilla Net Profit Surges 176% Over Nine-Month Period

Fumakilla Ltd. reported a sharp increase in net profit for the nine months ending December 31, significantly outperforming its prior-year results despite a more moderate rise in overall sales. The Japanese manufacturer’s net income soared to ¥584 million, a substantial jump from the ¥211 million recorded during the same period in 2023.

The company’s revenue climbed to ¥54.95 billion, representing a steady increase from the ¥53.43 billion reported a year earlier. While sales growth remained in the single digits, Fumakilla’s ability to convert revenue into profit improved markedly. Operating profit reached ¥1.55 billion, slightly ahead of the ¥1.53 billion achieved in the previous fiscal cycle.

Strengthening Profit Margins

Pretax profit showed more robust momentum, rising to ¥1.64 billion from ¥1.46 billion, according to the company's latest financial disclosure. This bottom-line expansion suggests a successful navigation of supply chain costs and a strategic focus on higher-margin product categories within the insecticide and household chemical sectors.

The earnings per share (EPS) figures mirrored the net profit growth, climbing to ¥35.48 from ¥12.84. The results, prepared under Japanese accounting standards, underscore a period of improved fiscal health for the Tokyo-based firm (4998.TO).
