49ers Owner Jed York Fined Following Ohio Arrest

York was processed and released on an own-recognizance bond after his Sunday arrest. While the disorderly conduct charge was originally filed as engaging in prostitution, it was amended before he entered his plea in Columbiana County Municipal Court. The court sentenced York to two days in jail and imposed a $150 fine.

Legal experts note that the charge of possessing “criminal tools” functions as a broad statute under Ohio law, covering any device or article adapted for illicit use. As part of the resolution, authorities returned a cellular device to York, though $160 seized during the arrest was forfeited to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force.

The organization stated it would offer no further comment on the resolved legal matter. The NFL confirmed it will conduct a review of the incident under its personal conduct policy. York, who became the 49ers’ principal owner earlier this year, is currently navigating divorce proceedings filed in May.
