The Japanese utility's revenue fell to ¥561.03 billion for the three-quarter period, representing a significant drop from the ¥617.99 billion recorded a year earlier. According to the company's financial disclosure, this decline contributed to a lower earnings-per-share figure of ¥234.48, down from the previous ¥240.94.
Resilience in Operating Income
In a notable display of cost management, Shikoku Electric maintained an operating profit of ¥65.34 billion, identical to the figure reported in the same nine-month window last year. However, the stability at the operating level did not fully translate to pretax earnings, which slipped to ¥65.34 billion from ¥67.40 billion.
